With six years at Quail Forever, Taylor focuses on restoring and maintaining native grasslands across North Central Texas using prescribed fire, brush management, range planting, and strategic grazing. He’s especially proud of a multi-year project in Stephens County where a landowner aimed to “bring the quail back.” Through collaborative habitat work alongside TPWD, NRCS, and the Oaks & Prairies Joint Venture, the land underwent a massive transformation—resulting in thriving quail coveys and a surge in wild turkeys. Taylor loves watching wildlife return to restored land and emphasizes that habitat work carries bonus benefits like improved soil health, water quality, and land productivity.
