Andres Rosales

Coordinating Wildlife Biologist

  • Location: Benavides, TX

  • Favorite Wildlife: Scaled Quail

  • Off the Clock: Duck hunting in the marsh, upland hunting with his English Setter, and fishing the flats.

Serving the Rio Grande Joint Venture region, Andres provides technical guidance and helps implement the South Texas GRIP program to tackle invasive brush and non-native grasses. In northern Webb County, he’s currently converting fields dominated by invasive buffelgrass back into diverse native rangeland to support bobwhite and scaled quail. Andres loves seeing native grasses and forbs flush after a good rain following a restoration project. He stresses that wildlife management and cattle production fit naturally together in South Texas and reminds landowners that his customized planning services are 100% free.
